Until about a year ago, I thought facial contouring was a complete mystery. I watched tutorials on how to use bronzers and highlighters to accentuate your jawline for insight and assistance. With so many products and options and a fear of going too heavy with the bronzer, it can be overwhelming. After research and lots of trial-and-error, I’ve found a quick way to contour for everyday wear.
What you need:
- an angled cheek/bronzer brush
- rounded blush brush
- bronzer – I use the Smashbox Halo Bronzer, but you can use whatever bronzer works best for you.
- highlighter – I use Benefit High Beam – a liquid highlighter, but you can use a powder or whatever highlighter you prefer.
- blush (optional)
The brushes that are linked above are by ELF (eyes/lips/face) cosmetics. Their prices and products are great.
After applying your foundation and setting with powder, you will take the angled brush, load it with bronzer and tap off excess. Then, follow the steps in the photo gallery below.
OPTIONAL: A domed brush can be used to use a bit of bronzer on your neck. This elongates your neck and accents your neck and collar bone. This would be applied before applying the highlighter.
